We had fun hitting the State Fair again this year. One cool new exhibit was giant bugs. It was an extra $5.00 per person to enter, but the boys were pretty excited about it.
The bugs actually moved, so it turned out to be pretty cool.
Kids played with the 10K tractors...
Saw the three day old piglets...
Took a few laps on the kid tractors...
Wilson may be getting a bit big for those kid tractors :(
We found the candy apples.
And, of course, the big slide.
We rode the pirate ride (lame!).
We also played a few crappy shoot the hoops, ring around the bottle, knock the cans down games...
They were actually pretty fun.
Lucky Leo shot one basketball for $3 and made it!
Meet Mr. Platypus.
The hightlight for Archie was the Superhero tent. We got there just as Batman and Superman were coming out!
Have you ever seen him happier??
The petting zoo was fun.
Every kid took a turn milking the fake cow....
And, we saw the winning pumpkin.
It was a totally great day, but ended really bad. It took me 45 minutes to walk to the car and Archie, Ivy and Leo were all screaming. I think they were tired and hungry, but I definitely had some tears on the way home, too. Looking at these pictures makes me glad we went, but we should have bailed a few hours earlier I guess. Oh well, we'll back next year together!
