Goodbye, Wilson

 Wilson took off on his big adventure Friday! He was so excited/nervous to travel alone. I felt the same... maybe more nervous, of course!

We got to the airport and for some reason, I pictured walking up to the gate and waving goodbye then heading home. NOPE! It felt like we were all traveling that day! We were there for five hours. First, we waited in the ticketing line to get our boarding/escort passes. Then, we hit up security which had a long line. THEN, we were at the gate forever and hey announced a delay of 2 hours.... Ahhhhh! I didn't have any food or entertainment for the kids, so - in desperation - they all huddled around Wilson's kindle.

Finally, he boarded! Look at our big guy heading off on his own...
This is about the moment Archie turned to me and said, "I miss Wilson." So sweet...

We waited for the plane to take off. What a weird feeling leaving without Wilson. Guess my two big guys are gone now.

Leo explained to Archie how he's the man of the house now... lol.

Have you been keeping up with Amy's posts? I've talked to him a couple times and he's been thrilled with life there. Hopefully, he isn't too sad to come home!

I texted Amy tonight that I was happy he was coming home tomorrow and she freaked! I guess she thought he was coming home Friday, so they had plans of hitting up LEGOLAND tomorrow. Oops! She told Wilson she made a mistake and he was coming home instead and I guess there were tears. Sorry dude! The kids and I are happy to have him back so I hope he's happy, too.
