Sunday fun day

Well, we survived the storm with only one patio chair down.  Wilson was upset that we didn't lose power because he wanted to all pile in our bed. The lights flickered a few times, but other than that and the poor chair we didn't have much action during the storm.

The kids are loving the cleaned out playroom. I was thrilled to walk in and find them playing with the firehouse again. They were having a lot of fun and it reminded me of a few years ago in Sasebo when we first got it and it was well loved.

They're also liking the new t.v. in the closet set up. Leo came up with a new player for Streets of Rage named 'Invisible Axel.' He gives Archie an unplugged controller and then talks about all the cool stuff 'Invisible Axel' is doing. Archie thinks he's really in on it and loves it - it's pretty sweet.

Big new development with our discovery eggs today. We hatched the shark in just a few hours! Leo ran around the house yelling, "Alert! Alert! The shark is being born!" We all ran to the kitchen and saw a small crack in the egg. Leo then took matters into his own hands and broke the egg apart to get to the shark. Wilson mentioned that it didn't seem natural, but Leo was thrilled with his new baby shark. He also decided that Joey the crab was old enough at two weeks to come out of the water. Wilson is going to let Jones the turtle continue to soak for the full three weeks. It was a really riveting ten minutes on the egg front.

The day dried up enough for us to play outside for a few hours in the afternoon. Archie was loving the leaves!

Of course our favorite neighbors were in on the action!

Tricia was sweet and invited us over for dinner tonight. The kids had a dance party after dinner. Siena played only Beatles songs and they had the disco light going. Ivy loved the dancing and we all went home beat.

It was a good day and we thought of you a lot. Miss you, babe. xoxo.
